Asset Reliability and Planner

About the role

Reporting to the RM Maintenance Superintendent, the key purposes of the role are to:

  • Determine critical spares and manage the ordering processes

  • To create and manage a repairable spares process 

  • To develop maintenance strategies that support the reliability of the Rolling Mills

  • Carry out maintenance planning when required

The Asset Reliability & Planning Officer will work closely with the Procurement and finance teams to align material number data into the existing systems e.g. Maximo, BCPS, Cap Gemini.

Once critical and repairable lists have been created there will be a need to ensure all items have a stores number with required relevant data. Also, identify satisfactory storage locations for the additional items.

About the person

We are looking for an experienced Asset Reliability & Planning Officer who has a strong inventory management background.

To be successful in this role you will need to have a strong team focus, excellent communication skills and an uncompromising attitude to safety. You will also be highly-organised, have the capacity to plan and delegate responsibilities to others, and have solid analytical skills and be able to trouble-shoot with a problem-solving approach.  Other key skills and experience include:

  • Maintenance background, or relevant experience in the industry;

  • Previous demonstrated experience in management of repairable spares or inventory processes
