Offline Technical Operator - Pacific Steel

About the role


We are seeking a motivated Offline Technician to join our Rolling Mill team based in Otahuhu, receiving instruction from the Offline Team Leader. The successful applicant will undergo training to cover any station within the Offline; however will initially be focused on one particular area.


About the person


The successful candidate will:

•  Have an uncompromising positive attitude towards health and safety

•  Show an ability to work autonomously and in a team

•  Have mechanical aptitude, preferably hold a trade qualification in fitting

•  Be computer proficient

•  Show a logical approach to problem-solving

•  Be a motivated self-starter with strong follow through of tasks and a positive “can do” team attitude


Key responsibilities include the preparation of mechanical rolling equipment for the manufacture of long steel and reinforcing products and ensuring reliability, efficiency, and quality targets are met.


It is preferable that the successful candidate will have 3 years experience in a similar role.


Relevant trade qualification an advantage.


The role is a permanent day position.
