Product Launch Manager
New Zealand Steel, a wholly owned subsidiary of BlueScope, manufactures and markets a range of flat rolled steel products for the building, construction, manufacturing and agricultural sectors. You know us for our flagship brands COLORSTEEL® and AXXIS®.
About the role
Applications are sought for the permanent position of Product Launch Manager in the Sales & Marketing team. This position reports to the Head of Product Development & Innovation.
This role primarily exists to manage the introduction of new products to differentiate our product range in market and grow margins and share. Customer driven product development and innovation drives greater differentiation and unique value propositions for our business.
About the person
The successful applicant will have:
a tertiary qualification in science, engineering or equivalent and/or relevant experience in the industry
5 years+ exposure to New Zealand Steel and/or BlueScope’s painted and coated product range
3 years+ experience managing complex product development, innovation and/or commercialisation projects within a manufacturing environment
excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
excellent communication skills, both oral and written
the ability to work in a team environment, both inside and outside the business
an uncompromising attitude to safety
