Casual Cafeteria Assistant

About the role

Our busy on-site cafeteria operates Monday – Friday and is open for both a morning and afternoon shift, to meet operational requirements we are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and energetic hospitality star to join our team on a casual contract basis. 

As part of our small but mighty team you will be spending a lot of time on your feet with food preparation, making barista coffee, keeping cabinets stocked, serving customers, running the till, and keeping the kitchen clean, tidy, and functional.

This is a casual position based at NZ Steel in Glenbrook, the hours of work will be based on a as and when required basis, although we will endeavor to provide advance notice of cover, we do need someone who can be flexible with helping and is able to be on-call at short notice. 

What you will bring to the role

Previous experience working in hospitality is preferred although at NZ Steel we value personality, attitude, and a willingness to learn over experience. 

Full training will be provided to the successful candidate, and our hardworking and helpful team will induct you to our way of life, you will need to have excellent communication skills and be a multi-tasking master along with excellent interpersonal skills.
