Fitter Welder
New Zealand Steel, a wholly owned subsidiary of BlueScope, manufactures and markets a range of flat rolled steel products for the building, construction, manufacturing and agricultural sectors. You may know us for our flagship COLORSTEEL® brand.
About the role:
Are you looking to take the next step in your career? We’re after a trade-qualified Maintenance Fitter Welder to join our Finishing Plants Maintenance team based at NZ Steel in Glenbrook. In this role you’ll be hands-on with plant and equipment maintenance, while developing valuable skills and experience that could support progression into a Technician role in the future.
What you’ll bring:
- Mechanical Trade Certificate Level 4 + welding experience
- Strong team player, also confident working independently
- Good communication and computer skills
- Problem-solving mindset and proactive attitude
- Proven reliability and commitment to health & safety
