About the role
We are currently looking for an experienced Fitter Welder to join the maintenance team based at Waikato North Head. Reporting to the Superintendent, WNH Maintenance, the primary accountability of this position is the repair and maintenance of operational plant and equipment throughout the mine site.
This is a permanent role.
Hours of Work
This is a day shift position working a 4 on, 4 off roster, working hours 7am-7pm; however, applicants should be aware that some overtime and call out work may be necessary.

Along with the ability to learn the required skills on the job and produce high quality work in a timely manner, the successful applicant will have;
- a strong team focus while also being comfortable working on your own
- great communication skills – verbal and written
- excellent computer literacy
- analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- positive attitude, ability and willingness to take ownership of your work
- proven good attendance and work history
- welding experience in Medium or Heavy Industry & qualified in a recognised standard eg: AS 1554.1, ASME IX or ISO 9606.1
To be considered for this role you must have a relevant Trade Certificate and have a strong work ethic along with the ability to produce high quality work.
