Hot Strip Mill Operator

We’re looking for a reliable, safety-focused team player to step into a fixed-term role for 6-months with the New Zealand Steel Hot Strip Mill Team.

What’s involved

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in helping us maintain our high product standards and keep operations running smoothly. Full training will be provided, and you’ll gain hands-on experience operating plant and equipment in the Hot Mill area.

The normal working hours for this position are 42 hours per week (12 hour / 4 shift rotating pattern) however to ensure that operational requirements are met, you may be required to work additional hours when needed.

• Solid problem-solving abilities
• A good attendance record and a strong work ethic
• Manual handling capability
• Previous experience with forklifts and/or cranes.
