Management Accountant

New Zealand Steel, a wholly owned subsidiary of BlueScope, manufactures and markets a range of flat rolled steel products for the building, construction, manufacturing, and agricultural sectors.  You may know us for our flagship COLORSTEEL® brand.

We are currently looking for a sharp, commercially savvy Management Accountant to join our busy Finance Operations Team. 

What you will be doing

The primary responsibility of this role is to provide insight and reporting on the performance of operations and manufacturing costs across NZ Steel and the Waikato North Head mine site. 

This is a permanent full time position working Monday – Friday 40 hours per week, you will be based at NZ Steel in Glenbrook.

What you will bring to the role

With a qualification in accounting, commerce or business you will be technically strong and willing to take a hands-on approach to supporting the financial and operational aspects of our business. 

5 plus years' experience in a manufacturing type industry and a working knowledge of SAP is essential. 

You will need to have excellent attention to detail, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and be a great communicator, we are looking for someone who will hit the ground running and take ownership of this role.
