Supply Chain Scheduler
New Zealand Steel, a wholly owned subsidiary of BlueScope, manufactures and markets a range of flat rolled steel products for the building, construction, manufacturing, and agricultural sectors. You may know us for our flagship COLORSTEEL® brand.
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Scheduler to join our Supply Chain Team at New Zealand Steel on a 2-year fixed-term contract.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you’ll play a key role in managing orders and production schedules to ensure our supply chain, production, DIFOT, and inventory goals are achieved. Your strong numeracy skills and understanding of ERP systems (or advanced Excel ability) will help keep production running efficiently and accurately.
What you’ll be doing
- Managing and maintaining accurate and timely production schedules.
- Supporting the achievement of supply chain and inventory objectives.
- Ensuring production runs at optimum levels through effective scheduling.
- Working collaboratively with stakeholders to meet delivery and customer expectations.
Scheduling experience will be highly regarded — however, if you bring exceptional customer service, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn, we’d love to hear from you.

- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to prioritise and manage multiple demands under pressure.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and a collaborative approach.
- A minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience, ideally in a manufacturing or production environment.
- ERP system knowledge or advanced Excel skills.
You’re a team player who takes initiative, thinks outside the box, and isn’t afraid to step up and support the wider Supply Chain team when needed. This role offers a great opportunity to build your experience and develop your career in Supply Chain or related fields.
